alnwick joins us live with the latest. and good morning to you. >> reporter: the charges are against harris, known as jean clark harris, the local pr executive who did consulting work for mayor gray's 2010 campaign and has close ties with jeffrey thompson, who has been under investigation by federal authorities for several months now and according to court documents, she's accused of being involved with crime having to do with donating money in the name of people. this is when way have heard in the past. harris has been charged with making those illegal contributions that tocandidates in federal and local offices, including to mayor vincent gray's campaign. meanwhile, you will remember that thompson's home and office were raided in march by the fbi. harris' office was raided on the same day. >> everyone's waiting to see what jeffrey thompson is already retained some counsel and who is the largest contractor in the city and that is over $300 million. it might go to the practices of government. >> and harris did communications and charging documents say in one instance, she was reimbur

there is nothing left. this used to be a dance studio. the national weather service is going to send a team here on to monday. the strong thunderstorms that ripped through the area on sunday evening. can you see the damage is severe and we're on fleming street in fredericksburg and there is nothing that looks the same. a home is off of the foundation and this brick warehouse looks like it's cut open like the cardboard box and this is that dance studio with 25 people inside and that landed on an elderly couple's home. >> and some people, we had to kick the door in. >> and they were not seriously injured but had some broken bones and some children had minor cuts and bruises and there is that nearby chiropractor's office and some building inspectors. i don't think there is any question this build a complete loss. back to you. >> thank you, melanie. >>> metro riders taking the green line and should find things over the weekend. they worked hard to find that and that is shut down. you can see that there is that kink in the track and that is repaired. in addition? heat-related restric

and police continue to investigate and there is no suspect or motive, but police tell us that drugs may have been involved and they expect more information this morning. >> thank you. >>> and a 12-year-old boy is facing murder charges and could be charged as an adult. he's charged with second-degree murder as a juvenile. the father found his two-year- old foster sister unresponseef after introducing the family. investigators determined that the boy beat the girl to death. no. to virginia, where two units were destroyed by a fire. 94 people were displaced. sky fox was over the woodbridge station complements and this is about 8 last night. firefighters brought in fans and worked on a rotation to work the fire and we told they were treated for a heat-related illness. they were told the fire started in with an electrical problem and that is still under investigation right now. >>> it's been a week and almost 10,000 in the dark. dominion power said less than 900 without power. bg&e are saying 1500 are waiting for the light and air conditioning to come back on. a lot of people are clearly

. passenger delays lasted as long as 40 minutes. train operators used traffic lights alongside the tracks. metro said they were able to keep appropriate spacing between all of the cars. they say there was radio communication between the trains in the control center at all times and no new issues have been reported since sunday. technicians do continue to work to try to identify the cause of this problem and metro says rail and it departments are taking precautionary steps to make sure that metro does not have any additional problems this morning. we don't know what the additional precautionary steps are but you can be assured that everybody is working to try to make sure this doesn't happen again. >>> police need your help finding a missing man in prince george's county. 75-year-old oscar washington was last seen at his daughter's home on woodmore road in bowie around 11:00 yesterday morning. washington is six feet tall and 170 pounds. he was wearing a green button down shirt and green khaki pants. he suffers from high blood pressure and memory loss. memo >>> the hunt is on for the suspec
